If you're waiting for a completion of anything in life - stop. It never ends.
For men, the game goes on an on, and there's no final ending. Life is in infinite overtime. Many men think that one day it'll all come together, and it'll all be done. And that you'll have achieved your goal, and then, and only then, will you be able to do what you really want to do. Men think that if they work hard enough, or long enough, then one day they'll get to rest and really enjoy life. Or, you might be thinking, "One day, she'll come around and understand me, and then we'll have that happy life together that I've been working so hard for." Or, maybe you're thinking that what you're doing now is very hard work and is absolutely necessary -- so that later, you can do what you really want to do in life. The Error The mental error that most men make is to think that eventually it will all be different, better, the way it is supposed to be. Well, it won't. There's no end. It never stops. It's never going to stop, so stop waiting for the good stuff. As long as you live and breathe, life goes on. Just like a ticking time clock. It keeps going. The Present The real challenge is to change your mind to thinking that the present moment is the most important. It's not the future. The challenge is to work, play, and make love in the present moment, and give your unique gift to the world and everyone around you. Now. Don't Wait Don't wait. Don't work only for a better future. Don't work only for retirement. Don't strive only to see the final ending. Don't think only of what's ahead. Life is now. Don't let 10 years pass you by, while you were working and thinking only for the future. Your work is never going to stop. Your life is going to be challenging all the way to the end. Stop waiting for the good stuff. The good stuff is now. It's been written that a man will live his life by the sweat on his face. And it doesn't stop until he returns to the ground from which he was made, because men are dust, and to dust they'll return. Kinda harsh, but true. I bet that you're waiting for one day when you'll be able to do what you really want to do, when your finances are better. Maybe you're waiting until your present obligations end. Or, maybe you're waiting for the kids to get out of the house. You're waiting for the right moment, just the right time, to do what you really want to do. Don't wait. Don't wait any longer. Don't make the mental error that one day, it'll all be different. Men, do what you'd love to do, what you are waiting to do, what you were born to do. And do it now. Now. The ideal man is one of both steel and velvet. The velvet qualities are different from those of steel (Read about steel qualities of a man).
In comparison to a building, the steel is the foundation and hard skeleton structure within the building, burdened with the weight of everything. The velvet is the outer skin, the lighter outer layer that moves and bends upon the structure, and provides the softer appearance and interaction with the world. One is tied to the other. Without the strong inner framework, the building would not function, but fail under pressures and forces. The exterior covering provides softness and beauty to the otherwise hardened mass of steel. When the steel and the velvet work together well, they comprise the ideal, superior man - a masterpiece. Velvet A man is as gentle as velvet. He can be as soft and smooth as velvet. A man is tender, kind and generous. He is patient. He cares about others. He protects women and children. He understands the feminine. He respects women's gentleness and recognizes the feminine as a compliment to his masculinity. He is chivalrous. He loves. He is happy about his life and enjoys living. He tells stories and cracks jokes. He can engage in conversation with anyone. And smiles a lot. He is pleased with good things and can feel joy in his heart and can express it. He is artistic, showing skill in execution. He exhibits a taste for things, such as dress, music, art, performances and other forms of expression. He can dance. He can concern himself with and show appreciation for the aesthetic. He is youthful in attitude and enthusiastic about new things. He is optimistic about situations and the world. He is humble, free from extravagance, and decent in behavior, appearance and speech. He has fun and is fun to be with. |
